My Thoughts On The Month Of Love
My whole life whether I’ve been in a relationship or not, Valentine’s Day has always been my favorite holiday. For me, it has always been a holiday where we get to celebrate romantic love, friendly love, family love, and most importantly the love between us and our Heavenly Father.
When I was little I remember my mom describing love as not something you find but, something that you build. When you think about it like that, it makes a lot of sense. Whether it’s a romantic relationship or a friendship, the intentional work that we put in is what makes the love grow.
For the purpose of this post I wanted to write about romantic love. Romantic love... everyone wants it, some have it, some take it for granted, some have sworn it off, some think it’s overrated, and some swear it’s right in front of your face all along.
I’m in the camp that says romantic love is out there for everyone. I personally know that going through a hard situation in the romantic field can be very discouraging. Giving your all to someone, only to be taken for granted, hurts like hell.
But even so, I’m here to tell you that there is someone out there that is going to be obsessed with your quirkiness, they are going to love how much you want to love and please them and they are going to crave giving you that foot rub at the end of the day.
This person is going to love you for what makes you, YOU. They are going to truly make you want to be a better person. They are going to challenge you in all the right ways, stretch you to new lengths and believe in all your crazy dreams. This person is going to empower you and put your needs before theirs.
Call me a hopeless romantic, but I know it’s out there. At the end of the day all we have is hope. Hope in a God that never fails and hope that there is love out there for everyone.
So whether you’ve just joined my blog or you’ve been following me since I’ve had 10 followers- know that I’m wishing you the happiest of Valentine’s Day!
