40 Achievable Ideas for New Year's Resolutions

December 30, 2020

If you’ve made a New Year’s resolution this year- hats off to you! If you haven’t- I completely understand and have been there many times but I highly recommend picking a goal.

Keeping up with any goal for the length of a year can be extremely overwhelming. But I have learned from experience that the feeling of accomplishment once the goal is complete is truly priceless.

In the past when I have wanted to set a goal for the year, I’ve been overwhelmed just trying to think up something. Some ideas would seem too big, others not big enough and others just weren’t specific. I believe that the key to being successful in a year long goal is to make the goal as specific as possible but to also pick something that is actually attainable.

Now, this might the part where some of you might be asking, “why do I need to even set a goal for the new year?” I would like to answer this question with a quote from one of my teenage crushes, Bruno Mars.

“There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are”

The thing is, you’re already amazing, truly. Goal setting isn’t something that people set because they have to change something. It’s something they set to improve themselves and their lifestyles. Every single one of us has some area or some habit that could use improvement and goal setting helps us achieve that.

If you’ve never set a resolution before, I would recommend starting off small. I want to share a list of simple, specific goals to get your wheels moving into the new year.

Here are some ideas for 2021 goals:
