Hey you and welcome to my new site!
I’ve been seeing articles out there that focus on what you should stop doing, so today I wanted to write about things you should start doing or continue doing. Some of them are more serious than others but I believe all of them will brighten your day! So here is a list I've put together of 8 things you need to start doing…
1. Moisturize. Moisturize. Moisturize. Find a moisturizer that works for your skin and you will be thanking yourself for years to come. Using a moisturizer is going to keep you young and keep your skin refreshed. My personal favorite is the GinZing Moisturizer from Origins. It smells like oranges and is perfect for my combination skin.
2. Spend time with good company. You can’t ever get time back! I spent years of my life hanging around the wrong people and caring about their opinions. Spend time with people who actually lift you up and care about you and your life. The Bible tells us to not throw our pearls before swine, meaning- don’t waste good things on people who don’t appreciate them time and time again. Seek people out who discuss ideas instead of people who only people.
3. Treat your body well! Eat well, drink plenty of water and exercise. Exercise can be as simple as a walk in the park or maybe around your living room. When we feel like we are running out of time, this is one of the first things to go out the door. The only way to excel at this is by making it a priority. Consistency is key!
4. Get comfortable in your own skin. It doesn’t matter what size you are; you are sexy, strong, and vibrant. When you are comfortable in your own skin, nothing can stop you. You’ll be able to walk into any room with any group of people and shine. Own who you are and be confident that you were put on Earth to do great things.
5. Find a therapeutic hobby. One of the best things I ever did was buy a couple coloring books and take time to color. It’s so relaxing! Also, there are some really funny adult coloring books out there too. Find what works for you!
6. Forgive the folks who don’t deserve it. Keeping forgiveness from someone, just hinders you and your walk. Forgiveness gives you peace of mind and could potentially in the future mend the bridge between you and that other person.
7. Do something weekly that scares the crap out of you! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, stepping outside of your comfort zone is where you grow. We set up so many limitations for ourselves and the only way to step beyond that is to do something that scares you. If some of your goals, dreams and decisions don’t scare you, then you’re not living! If you follow me on Instagram, you know I've been stepping out my comfort zone daily at the gym and boy does it scare the crap out of me!
8. De-clutter your space! If our life is crowded with stuff, it can make us feel weighed down mentally. Having a clear space often gives you a clear mind too.
I hope you find at least one of these helpful! They have been working for me and might work for you too.
Until next time!
XOXO

One of my goals for this year is to practice positive thinking daily!
Happy New Year!!! With a new year comes new responsibilities, new possibilities, new goals and new boundaries of course.
