My Zenni Optical Experience

I spent nearly $300 on my last pair of glasses that I purchased at the eye clinic where I got my exam. That was after my vision insurance benefits kicked in, mind you. I didn’t even get anything name brand either.

Regardless, I went ahead with the purchase because, ya girl has to see! But I knew moving forward I was going to try to find something more affordable.

A few months ago I started looking around online and trying to decide where to get some new, more affordable glasses.

I came across Zenni Optical and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable their glasses were! Most styles started at $6.95 which is unheard of in the glasses realm. I had never heard of  them but after looking up some reviews online I decided I would have to be a fool not to try them!

The first thing that I really appreciated about Zenni Optical was how easy their site is to navigate. Ya’ll know I appreciate a good working site and a website says a lot about how much  a company cares about its’ customers.

The thing that really made me love Zenni Optical before I even ordered anything was the fact that they did a collaboration with my girl Iris Apfel. Iris has been someone I’ve looked up to for  years and her Edit with Zenni Optical is jaw-dropping!

By now you’re probably thinking, how do I order my own?!

Well, the 1st thing you need to do is create an account. Zenni Optical makes that easy and breezy. Then you can enter your prescription information and start browsing through all the beautiful frames.

Once you pick a frame you like, you can actually use the virtual try-on feature on their website to see how the glasses will look on your pretty face. I really liked this feature because it showed me exactly what the glasses would look like on me.

Now comes the fun part, you can customize practically everything when it comes to your  glasses. Add a lens tint, blue light blocker, an anti-reflective coating, or even turn them into polarized sunglasses!

Now, let me share with you what I ordered…

I got the Geometric Glasses (4449415) from The Iris Apfel X Zenni Edit and I’m obsessed! I receive compliments every single time I have these on and they just make me feel so fun! I added a small tint to these so that my eyes are protected from the bright Austin, TX sun and got anti-scratch coating as well!

I also ordered the Clear Round Glasses (4422423). I have always wanted clear glasses as my prescription glasses because they are edgy and go with every single outfit. I absolutely love how these look on me!

I thought it would take a hot minute for me to get these but they got to me in record time!  Zenni’s had super quick shipping!

You might be wondering if you need a prescription to order from Zenni…

The answer is, no! You can order any of their styles just to have as a cute accessory, blue light blokz or to wear as sunglasses. Once you select a style, you’ll be able to choose “non-prescription” from the drop down menu.
